On Saturday June 26th, 2004 the 101st Airborne Pathfinders visited Tinley Park in honor of their safe return from Iraq. Captain Waters, a Tinley Park resident and graduate of Andrew High School, successfully brought all his personnel back from combat in Iraq. The Village had a homecoming barbecue for them at the new Tinley train station. There was entertainment at Zabrocki Plaza following the BBQ. On Sunday afternoon they returned to their base at Fort Campbell KY. A great time was had by all.
