TPFD Patch

Welcome to the Tinley Park Fire Department Website,Chief Kenneth C. Dunn

This is our 107th year of serving the community and we continue to make changes and improvements to our service. We could never have made these changes without the support of local governments and the citizens of our community. It is imperative that the organization works closely with the entire community in order to insure the needs of the community. Our goal is to serve and protect both life and property of the citizens and visitors of Tinley Park.

We currently have twenty-four hour staffing at three stations with our paid-on-call/ paid-in-place staff of 125. Automatic Aid with other communities, near the other station, has provided a stronger and immediate response in the lesser call volume areas. Daily we man two engine companies and one truck company. Our annual fund drive supports the purchase of new equipment, thus reducing the amount of tax revenue needed by the department. The fund drive also benefits the community by ensuring that we have the most modern, state-of-the-art fire fighting equipment in all four stations. We cannot thank the citizens enough for their participation and support. Having the proper equipment helps our community maintain a high ISO rating, currently Class 3. This keeps insurance rates low, for both residential and commercial properties.

Please browse our web site to see what the Tinley Park Fire Department is all about and what we do to be prepared to service our community. We hope that your experience is an enjoyable one.

"We serve others, not ourselves."
