Specialized Equipment:
The department has specialized equipment including a brush truck and a rescue squad. The brush truck is a modified pick up truck that is used to drive into wild land areas, off road, to extinguish grass fires, etc.
The squad is used to bring additional tools and manpower to the emergency scene.
As you review the photos of our equipment you will notice the numbering system that we use on our vehicles. Tinley Park has been issued all the numbers from 200 to 299 by MABAS 24. All our vehicles are identified by a name, engine, truck, squad and a number. Engine 201 for example housed at station one. The last digit represents the station. As another example truck 203 would be housed at station three. Enjoy looking at our vehicles.
